Named my daughter Raina.
In French it means 'Queen'
and in Puerto Rico
it means 'the conquerer'.
Uh, such a lovely name,
such a powerful name.
I picked it.
Raina and I live in the same city, Dhaka,
only 15 minutes drive away from each other
if there's no traffic,
but yet hardly see each other.
Not daily, ofcourse, not even weekly.
My only child is turning 8 this May, and I am becoming a stranger to her everyday.
In her look I find vanity, when we meet,
may be once or twice a month.
In her look I see love, for her father,
which she hardly knows how to express anymore.
In her eyes I saw sorrow,
cause she's being pushed
to call another man - 'father'
and in my eyes,
if can look into them in a mirror,
not always I have the courage,
I see hopeless dreams of saving my little princes...
Hope you save yourslef mama. Be a conqueror.
No doubt Raina will be grown big someday. Before Raina, you have to prove yourself conqueror, not looser. And by the time your little Princess will be able to recognize you as True Father.God bless her!
